Physicians for a National Health Program
In the United States, a study just published says the Affordable Care Act (ACA) there will add more than a quarter of a trillion dollars to the already very high administrative costs of US health care through to 2022. The website Physicians For A National Health Program (PNHP) says the study authors – Drs David U. Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler – calculated yearly estimates for private insurance overheads and government programme administration costs both with, and without, the effects of the ACA.
