A major shortage of public hospital dermatologists has reached “crisis point” in Christchurch, leaving patients without specialist care, a doctor says.  Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB) chief of medicine Dr Alan Pithie told board members at a recent Hospital Advisory Committee meeting that Christchurch’s outpatient dermatology service was “almost imploding” due to the shortage.  Read the full article here.
