The 27th ASMS Annual Conference is being held at Mac’s Function Centre in Wellington on 19 and 20 November 2015, with ASMS branch officers from around the country in attendance.

Dr Kenneth Clark

MBChB FRANZCOG FRCOG FRTCOG(Hon) FRACMA

I am a senior clinician with extensive experience and expertise in professional affairs and in clinical and organisational governance.  I am a fellow of the Australasian College of Medical Administrators and I am a fellow of the O & G Colleges of Australia and New Zealand, the United Kingdom and of Thailand. I am a past president of RANZCOG.

I hold the position of Chief Medical Officer of MidCentral District Health Board and have been in this position for 12 years. As the Chief Medical Officer I am the principal clinical representative in senior management of the organization, I have professional responsibility for all doctors within the organization and I have oversight of all clinical governance across the Health Board.

I am the chair of the New Zealand DHB Chief Medical Officers Group and I have a senior role in development and governance of all clinical networks in the Central Region of New Zealand.

I have considerable experience in postgraduate medical education and I have recently chaired the prevocational training working group for the Medical Council of New Zealand.

I work clinically as a Consultant Gynaecologist undertaking general gynaecological work with particular interests in the management of utero-vaginal prolapse, gynaecological endocrinology and vulval disease.


Bill Rosenberg

Bill Rosenberg was appointed Economist and Director of Policy at the CTU in May 2009. He holds a B.Com in Economics, a BSc in Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematical Psychology. He was a member of the Government’s Independent Taskforce on Health and Safety whose recommendations led to many of the changes in the current health and safety reforms. Bill is widely published on labour issues, globalisation and trade and with Lyndon Keen of ASMS publishes an annual analysis of the Health Vote. He has been an active trade unionist for 35 years including in the Association of University Staff where he was National President for several years. Bill was previously Deputy Director, University Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of Canterbury.
