Headline: Bequest society update

The Truby King Bequest Society’s programme of hosting functions for small groups of supporters around the country is proving very successful. In January the location was Greytown, Wairarapa, with a function that attracted Plunket supporters representing generations of grandparents, parents and children.

“These functions are a fantastic opportunity for us to discuss the option of leaving a bequest to Plunket with those who already support us through donations, and to thank them personally for being part of the Plunket family,” says Abby Cormack, our Bequest Programme Manager.

The Truby King Bequest Society membership continues to grow. The next small function will be held on the Kapiti Coast and, later in the year, similar events will take place in the Auckland region.

Abby says she’s delighted to see such interest in bequests. The legacy funds are looked after by the Plunket Foundation, an independent philanthropic trust established to build a sustainable, world-class children’s endowment fund that supports Plunket in delivering major projects to improve the health outcome of New Zealand’s children.
