Headline: Oncology and Haematology departments move
Ryan Singh (23) was the last oncology patient to be moved from ward 25, which occupied parts of both the Menzies and Smith buildings at Waikato Hospital, to level three of the Smith Building, today.
The temporary decant of the Oncology Department to the Smith Building is to allow refurbishment of level five in the Menzies Building which will be the sole home of Haemotology and Oncology when the Smith Building is demolished in January 2013.
Ward 25 charge nurse manager Gabby Reynolds wanted to extend a huge thank you to not only the ward 25 staff who assisted with the move but was impressed with staff from other wards who came along to help.
