You will have a reputation for great relationship savvy, a focus on the delivery of programmes, producing high quality administration and have solid project management skills.
Key aspects of the role include assisting with all aspects of programme and event management, resource and records management, reporting and general administration.
Your success in this varied role will depend on excellent planning, high level coordination and administration skills, strong relationship management skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, great problem solving ability and a real willingness to be proactive. Experience with project management would be useful. Your interest and awareness of Māori culture will assist in the support you will provide for Māori Health Programmes. Some understanding of tikanga Māori and te reo Māori and applying these appropriately in a business context will also be beneficial. Along with experience in the public sector and the health sector will be an advantage.
We are looking for someone with solid proven experience, who has a practical “can do” attitude, is calm and personable under pressure, and has a very strong customer service ethic. This is a fixed term opportunity due to an internal secondment covering parental leave. You will be expected to hit the ground running but will be supported by your team and others in the directorate.
