Official documents show it could take up to seven years for the Government to see the fruits of its controversial social bonds programme, reports Stuff. Labour’s health spokesperson Annette King says this revelation raises suspicions that $30 million in public money set aside for the pilot was an “upfront payment” to private companies looking to cash in on health outcomes. However, Health Minister Jonathan Coleman is maintaining the money won’t be paid out unless results are achieved. The full article can be read here.
